Jared and I spent the weekend near Brian Head Ski Resort, about an hour and a half north of St George, just 12 miles east of Interstate 15. On monday, we decided to take a scenic drive home. We drove to Bryce… I love driving through the tunnels at Red Canyon. We hiked to a beautiful waterfall at Tropic Ditch and then drove South towards St George. Our hour and half drive turned into a 6 hour adventure…
We decided to drive through Zion on our way home. We hit zion about 7:30 or 8:00 PM. I am so glad we stopped to jump some visitors in a parking lot. Okay, I had to use the restroom. That is why we stopped and then the poor stranded tourists asked us if we had jumper cables… which we did underneath pillows and bags of clothes! So while I used the restroom, Jared saved the stranded tourists. This 10 – 15 minute act of service made it possible for us to view a gorgeous waterfall streaming down the cliffs at the mouth of Zion Canyon… AND…
There was still a lot of moisture in the air and that moisture mixed with actual rain makes the image look old. This image is not enhanced.
As we drove closer to the entrance of Zion’s Canyon the view of the Canyon became more “crisp” but there was less and less water falling down the temporary waterfall.
AND then as we got closer to the Entrance we saw rays of light shooting out of the peaks of the Court of the Patriarchs.
Once again these images have not received any enhancement.
And when I went back to my car to get my other camera… There was a Rainbow over Watchman Tower…

WOW wow wow wow wow! WOW! What a spectacular “reward” for service (or going to the bathroom, take your pick) Wish I could have been there to appreciate the beauty with you, but very glad you have shared it with us!
