Thursday Night, Jared and I went over to our friend Jack’s home and he showed us his beautiful pond that was over 20 by 30 feet huge!!!  We spent the evening with him and he shared some of his beautiful koi with us and some of his beautiful water plants with us.  Now, catching the koi was an experience in itself, but suffice to say, we caught some koi and now Rocky, the turtle is no longer lonely.

Actually, to be honest, a little friend showed up outside of our pond on Wednesday.  It was another red eared slider turtle, Emerson, about a quarter of the size of Rocky.  And to this day, we do not know how he got here.  We do, however, know that he belonged to our neighbor.  We just do not know how Emerson climbed stairs that are 4 times the size that he is.   Emerson is scared of Humans but follows Rocky everywhere and is even picking up some of Rocky’s bad habits!

Friday, I spent hours cleaning up the yard giving the pond a little face lift.  Here is the before picture!
