“When we begin to analyze ourselves and look to improve ourselves as teachers, what better model could we find? What finer study could we undertake than to analyze our ideals and goals and methods and compare them with those of Jesus Christ?” (Boyd K. Packer, Teach ye Diligently, 1991, pg 22)
In Chapter 4, of Teach Ye Diligently by President Boyd K. Packer, he discusses how Jesus Christ is the Master Teacher and our model for teaching. He explained that in the 154 pages of the Gospels we can “find how He did what He did. There is no information in print on how to teach moral and spiritual values more important nor, if properly approached, more helpful than is found in the Gospels. They constitute a treatise on teaching technique surpassed by none.” (pg 22-23)
As I read this, I felt inspired to study the gospels with this question in mind, “How did Jesus Christ teach?”
How can we learn how to be better teachers by studying the life, the teachings of Jesus Christ in the Gospels?
